Why Pixel Art Never Ages
Pixel art communicates with the fewest possible marks: a rectangle plus an outline plus one highlight reads as a candy. At small sizes it stays crisp because every pixel is intentional; at large sizes it becomes charming geometry. Photographs age as fashions shift, but a well-drawn pixel character only becomes more iconic. The whole market is built on this principle — art that renders identically on a 2015 phone and a 2026 laptop.
