Why this collection exists

A room for four chairs, with none left empty for long. This path gathers games that can start with two players, fill to four, and finish in about two minutes without anyone waiting for the next round. It suits a table that suddenly has four people around it after dinner: one opens a room, three join, and the first round can begin before everyone has agreed who is best. Change the game every two rounds so one person's edge does not become permanent, and let the loser choose what comes next.
